It's all about the people
We realise that a care home is merely bricks and mortar without the vibrant personalities and characters that make up our staff. Together , they use their vast experience to ensure that the very best standard of care is delivered with sensitivity and a smile of their faces.
All of our in house staff training is based around the importance of team work and supporting one another. All of the staff at the Hall live in Thornton-le-Dale and neighbouring villages and are knowledgeable about the local area and its attractions.
We are fortunate to have a mixture of both male and female carers mixing youth and experience all bringing different talents to the table. We believe in developing staff wherever possible and have a history of promoting from within whilst supporting the development of all staff as part of their life-long learning programme.
The Hall has a committed staff , many of whom have worked there for over 20 years including Janet on reception whose friendly face lights up the foyer of the Hall since 1986 .
In 2009 we decided to revolutionise the staff training and hired our own Director of Training to inspire the team and bring training to life. Staff have found this much more enjoyable as all the training is created to meet the needs of the individual homes and the changing landscape of care. In doing this all staff have found the training more relevent and easier to implement. This work has not only improved provision of care but also highlighted a professional approach in all of our work.
Our administrative team are highly experienced and will iron out any problems answering any query you may have regarding funding.
The staff at the Hall whether care staff , Kitchen , domestics or managers are known for forging strong relationships so that everyone feels welcome. We know that success comes from residents, families and staff all striving for the same goals.
We all treat the safety of all of our residents, visitors and staff paramount and so we have a specialist Health & Safety Director to oversee all aspects of building work and implementation of risk assessments at the Hall.
We understand the need for continuity and have many long serving staff whose experience shines through in their own work whilst supporting others new to the profession. All of our team believe in treating everyone as they would wish to be treated themselves.
That is why the Hall in Thornton-le-Dale is all about the people.
